Just yesterday, London-based pop singer/songwriter Lily Allen opened her first U.S tour in five years at the Fillmore Miami  Beach.  The 19-date run is set to conclude at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium on October 10.  As if that wasn’t enough, Goapele and a long list of contemporary jazz, neo-soul, and vocal jazz artists will be sailing from Fort Lauderdale for a music festival spanning 8-days at sea with stops to Costa Rica, Panama and the Cayman Islands.  To put the cherry on top, Zap Mama will perform live at South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center in January.  Be still my heart.
