Nathan Myhrvold, former CTO of Microsoft, has combined his love of food & photography in a book called The Photography of Modernist Cuisine, his third in a series called Modernist Cuisine.

In the photographs, he and his team use various techniques to capture the food, from extreme macros to cutting stoves and pans in half, the details of which he explains in the book.
